Suzu Suzuki To Defend World Of STARDOM Championship vs. Starlight Kid On October 29

Suzu Suzuki’s next challenger has been confirmed.

It has been confirmed that Suzu Suzuki will defend her World of STARDOM Championship against Starlight Kid at STARDOM Crimson Nightmare 2026 on October 29th at the Ota City General Gymnasium.

After Starlight Kid and Miyu Amasaki beat Suzu Suzuki and Akira Kurogane, SLK took the microphone and challenged Suzuki to a title match on the October 29 show, and the champion quickly agreed to the match.

These two have had a lengthy history dating back to the beginning of the Neo Genesis faction back in 2024. Starlight Kid and Suzu Suzuki were initially allies, working together to create Neo Genesis in the first year of its existence. They even teamed up together during the Goddesses of STARDOM Tag League in 2024.

After Suzuki left the faction after turning on her Crazy Star tag partner Mei Seira in 2025, she would create the Mi Vida Loca faction with many women who work mostly outside of STARDOM, and they would feud with just about everyone, including Neo Genesis. Surprisingly, they have only had one singles match since the breakup of Neo Genesis, which Starlight Kid won.

Both women may have a good amount of history with one another, but the same cannot be said for their history with the World of STARDOM Championship. As of October 29, the day of this match, Suzu Suzuki will have held the belt for 131 days and have only defended the belt on two occasions, one against Utami Hayashishita and another against Natsuko Tora. Her lack of defenses is purely because of the 5STAR Grand Prix, however, even so, her reign stands out for having few challenges so far.

Regardless, Suzuki has been dominant in singles action since she beat Sayaka Kurara for the Red Belt on June 20, sporting an impressive 9-1-1 record. Over that streak, she’s beaten the likes of Hayashishita, Hina, Miyu Amasaki, HANAKO, and Aya Sakura. Her only loss, as mentioned earlier, was against Starlight Kid, and her only draw was against Ruaka, a result she cleared up after she beat her in a rematch later that month.

On the other hand, Starlight Kid comes into this upcoming match having only one previous World of STARDOM challenge on her résumé, which was a loss to Saya Kamitani back in February. For those of you who forgot, that match was the one where Kamitani injured her finger, it was one of the best STARDOM matches of the year.

Before we get there, though, STARDOM will hold a show at Korakuen Hall on October 11. That night, Natsupoi looks to claim gold in the months leading up to her retirement. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Starlight Kid challenging Suzu Suzuki as soon as we hear more.
