Takehiro Yamamura To Challenge Atsushi Kotoge for G-REX Title At GLEAT Ver. 34

The next G-REX Title defence is set.
Atsushi Kotoge will defend his G-REX Championship for the first time since he won the title at GLEAT Ver. Ex against Takehiro Yamamura at GLEAT Ver. 34 on November 14 from Stella Hall at the Umeda Sky Building in Osaka.
It can be reasoned that this match was created because of Yamamura’s deep connection with the man Kotoge beat for the G-REX, El Lindman. The two men have had an incredibly long career, mostly spent as allies both in Dragongate with the Over Generation, and GLEAT with STRONGHEARTS.
Yamamura has been with GLEAT ever since he returned as an active pro wrestler back in 2023, initially stepping away in 2019. During his run, he’s wrestled in one match for the G-REX, which happened against Kaito Ishida, who was in the middle of his second reign at the time. Outside the G-REX scene, Yamamura has held the G-INFINITY Tag Team title with Issei Onitsuka last year.
This will be the second time these two men have clashed in singles action, with Kotoge winning their first meeting back at GLEAT Ver. 30 on August 30. As of writing, it’s also the only match currently announced for GLEAT Ver. 34.
