Deonna Purrazzo successfully defeated Faby Apache in an open challenge for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at IMPACT Multiverse of Matches and was then confronted by, former IMPACT Knockouts Champion, Taya Valkyrie who made her return to the company. Valkyrie issued a challenge to Purrazzo for a shot at her AAA title at Impact Rebellion.
This won’t be the first time that Valkyrie and Purrazzo have faced off. In Valkyrie’s last appearance for IMPACT at Hard to Kill 2021, Purrazzo retained the IMPACT Knockouts championship.
Taya Valkyrie holds the record for having the longest IMPACT Knockouts Title reign in the company’s history, holding the title for 377 days.
