The Creed Brothers might not be done in NXT, per a recent report.

On the July 4 edition of NXT, The Dyad picked up the win against The Creed Brothers in a match where the losers would have to leave the show. Fans were surprised to see The Creeds lose, especially given how vocal the team formerly known as The Grizzled Young Veterans had been about their discontent in the company. But, many assumed this was a tool to transition the losing duo onto the main roster.

However, per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, it’s been said that The Creeds still have the potential to return to NXT in the future, with one source even clarified to the Newsletter that their expulsion from the show was strictly an angle and another stating that a final decision is yet to have been made.

“One person very close to the situation was outright told that it’s an angle and they will be back. This could be real or it could be those in charge at NXT telling people a story because of the idea they want to keep it a secret, but I’m not sure why you’d bother with the loser leaves town match already taking place. Another person who would be in a situation where they should know said that the final decision hasn’t been made.”

While in NXT, The Creeds have enjoyed one reign with tag team gold, with many seeing them as hot prospects for WWE’s future, though, whether they return to the developmental brand or move to the main roster is seemingly still up in the air.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on The Creed Brothers and their status on NXT as we hear more.
