Earlier today, Fightful Select reported that The Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) had requested their release from WWE. The pair had recently been working as Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid on NXT as The Dyad as part of The Schism alongside Joe Gacy and Ava Raine.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now confirmed that WWE have granted the release request of the Grizzled Young Veterans, with the pair now set to leave the company.
As noted withing Fightful Select’s report earlier today, there is unlikely to be a shortage of suitors for the former NXT UK Tag Team Champions, with independent promotions across both the US and UK likely to be interested in acquiring the pair’s services.
