When Austin Creed and Kofi made their debut in AEW at Wembley Stadium, many wondered how things would go. It took one match for fans and critics to see that the duo, now called The New Level, would fit in well with the promotion, with most fans being impressed by their performances since coming in. Despite losing the AEW World Trios Championships this past weekend at WrestleDream, their reign acted as a welcome reminder of how strong the former WWE World Tag Team Champions are in the ring.

While The New Level are still working with Swerve Strickland to reclaim the Trios Championship, the report made mention that their alliance was never planned to be a long-term thing. Plus, many fans remain eager for them to cross paths with some of the company’s biggest tag teams, with talent like The Young Bucks, FTR, and the Motor City Machine Guns are just some of the matchups waiting for Kofi and Creed when they opt to focus on the tag division as opposed to six-man competition. Given that they’ll be in AEW for five years, it’s very likely they’ll have time to do all of viewers’ most anticipated matches in grand fashion.
