The Young Bucks’ Current AEW Deals Reportedly May Be Their Final Wrestling Contracts

The Young Bucks could already be in the mindset of their last contracts.

In 2019, The Young Bucks and their fellow Elite members founded All Elite Wrestling, choosing to forgo signing with WWE and instead launch an alternative. Since then, they’ve been the backbone of the tag team division, re-signing on multiple occasions to continue their time with the promotion. However, their most recent contract may reportedly have been their last.

While discussing how much longer The Elite would continue wrestling, Dave Meltzer noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that The Young Bucks may almost be done wrestling:

“Aside from Page, I’m not sure how much longer any of them are gonna go, because Matt considered stopping. Matt’s in his 40s, and they’re set. All of them, they’re all set for life. They’ve made a lot of money. I’ve heard it discussed that this might be their last contract. You know, people always say that and then there’s so much money thrown at you afterwards to stay, so you always do. But, like I said, we’ll see what happens when the deal’s up. I mean, Adam Page will probably still wrestle for many more years.”

Matt and Nick Jackson have been in the wrestling business for over 20 years, meaning they’re closer to the end of their careers than the start. Across AEW, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and ROH, the pair have a stunning 15 tag team championship reigns to look back on, as well as success in various other promotions throughout their career, and they don’t look like slowing down just yet.

Up next, the Bucks will look to recapture the AEW World Tag Team Championships for a record fourth time. This Sunday, they’ll face Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in a cross-generational clash at AEW All In: London.
