More main roster stars, such as Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, may potentially be heading to NXT.

This past week’s edition of NXT saw World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins head to the developmental brand to put his title on the line against Bron Breakker. The match drew a lot of eyes to WWE’s third brand, as the main event match peaked at around 950,000 viewers.

Following the success of Rollins’ title defence against Bron Breakker, Dave Meltzer has revealed in the Wrestling Observer that WWE are considering having other main roster stars appear in NXT. A proposed option is for the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler to compete on NXT and defend their titles on the show.

There are plans for more major stars to work NXT like Rollins did this week. One name that was at least talked about was Rousey, or perhaps even having Rousey & Baszler defend the women’s tag titles there.

It’s unclear when this could take place, though, an appearance on NXT could make sense with Rousey and Baszler set to unify the WWE and NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles in an upcoming match with Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on main roster stars appearing on NXT as we hear more.
