Since Tony Khan purchased Ring Of Honor in March of last year, many have wondered what the plan would end up being for the brand. Khan set up traditional pay-per-views associated with his newly acquired company such as Death Before Dishonor and Final Battle which would feature ROH championships but they never had a show of their own to build up to these spectacles.

Many AEW stars have held Ring Of Honor titles in this time, with Chris Jericho and Claudio Castagnoli trading the ROH World Title and Wheeler Yuta carrying the Pure Championship respectively, though ROH content often felt forced into Dynamite and separate from the show itself. Most assumed that a TV show would eventually arrive as part of the deal to mix the two companies and now an update has emerged in regards to ROH tapings and the future of Honor Club.

While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Tony Khan has confirmed an upcoming set of tapings for Ring Of Honor for Universal Studios in Orlando, with the shows coming to light on March 2 on Honor Club.

“Ring of Honor TV is coming Thursday, March 2 on HonorClub. We’ll have our first tapings on Feb. 25 and 26 at Universal Studios in Orlando, and we’re going to put tickets on sale for the inaugural taping on Thursday. Those will be the first-ever tapings of the new Ring of Honor. We also have the library on the HonorClub with 20 years of matches. All the Briscoes-FTR matches are available, including Final Battle from December, and those matches are going to stand the test of time in wrestling. Ring of Honor has a tremendous history. We have been able to introduce it with a further reach across the world this past year, and I’m excited to finally introduce weekly Ring of Honor shows.”

As of now, it’s unclear whether there will be a specific roster for these shows or whether AEW talent will continue to merge with the ROH regulars to create stories across shows. Claudio Castagnoli is still the ROH World Champion but the new show may create opportunities to show off some of its lesser used talent.

As always, we’ll update you on the future of Ring Of Honor and any upcoming events as soon as we hear more.
