Tony Khan is always open to introducing fresh faces to his AEW product. There is always a nice flow of new talent signings, celeb and one-off appearances.

Jim Varsallone recently talked to Tony Khan and asked him about NFL names and AEW

“It’s so funny you asked. I actually have had some of that, there have been some that have called and asked that. I just recently was talking to Fred Taylor about it, I think he’d be a force in the ring. He’s still in great shape. He’s one of the all-time great Jaguars players and I think he belongs in the Hall of Fame.

There have only been two players in the history of the NFL to carry the ball over 2500 times and average over 4.6 yards per carry, it’s Barry Sanders and Fred Taylor. I really believe in Fred and think he would be a great candidate for the Hall of Fame, especially now that the Jaguars have our first ever player in the Hall of Fame in Tony Boselli. I do have players asking me about wrestling quite a bit, which is cool,”
