Tony Schiavone’s long-term AEW future is yet to be confirmed.

Legendary pro-wrestling commentator Tony Schiavone has been a member of AEW’s broadcast team since August of 2019, whilst also contributing as the host of on-screen interviews, as well as being the company’s Senior Producer and Special Advisor to Talent.

During a recent episode of Schiavone’s ‘What Happened When’ podcast, Conrad Thompson jokingly suggested that Schiavone has a lifetime contract with All Elite Wrestling, prompting the Tony to quickly refute this claim, revealing that his current deal with the promotion is set to expire in April of next year with their being no guarantee that he’ll be re-signed.

“That’s a f*cking lie. Unless my life ends by April of next year. There is no guarantee that they’re gonna re-sign me. There’s no guarantee on that. That’s how I approach life.”

-Tony Schiavone

Throughout his career, Schiavone has worked on the broadcast team for Jim Crockett Promotions, WWE, WCW, MLW, and now AEW, along with Minor League Baseball team the Gwinnett Braves/Stripers and Georgia Bulldogs football.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Tony Schiavone’s AEW Contract status as soon as we hear more.
