Troy ‘2 Dimes’ Donovan, who was part of the Tony D’Angelo Family in NXT, has been released by WWE.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Donovan was released by WWE yesterday due to a policy issue. Meltzer also noted that it was not because of a creative or budget decision:
“This wasn’t a budget or creative decision, but a policy issue and he was told he may be brought back in a year.”
– Dave Meltzer
There hasn’t been any details reported regarding what the policy issue exactly is, but the report of the release has now also been confirmed by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp on Twitter:
I can confirm Wrestling Observer's report that NXT talent Troy Donovan has been released by WWE. I've not heard of any additional releases as of yet
