Over the past few days, both Fightful Select and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter have reported that Bobby Fish of the Undisputed Elite was on his way out of AEW following the expiry of his contract, with the former NXT Tag Team Champion not expected to re-sign with the company.
Meltzer has now provided another update on Fish’s situation during the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, revealing that whilst both sides were unable to come to an agreement, the door remains open for further negotiation.
“Both sides couldn’t come to an agreement right now, and the door is not closed as far as coming to an agreement later.”

Fish recently stated that he’d “go to war” for WWE’s new Head of Talent Relations and Head of Creative Triple H, thus leading to speculation that he may have eyes on a return to WWE.
Fish, alongside UE members Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole recently turned on the Young Bucks ahead of the AEW Trios Championship Tournament, likely leading to an Elite vs UE feud now that Kenny Omega has made his return. Whether or not these plans come to fruition following Fish’s supposed exit remain to be seen.
