This past Tuesday’s edition of NXT saw the shocking return of Sonya Deville to the third brand, as she attacked Alba Fyre to aid Toxic Attraction in the absence of Mandy Rose.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now provided an update on the reasoning behind Rose’s absence, revealing that she was taking time off to deal with the loss of her older brother.
“Mandy Rose has been on leave since the death of her older brother.”

Everyone at WrestlePurists send our condolences to Rose and her family in this difficult time, and we look forward to seeing her return to the ring when the time is right.
Turning his attention to some of the injured absentees from this week’s NXT, Meltzer noted that Tiffany Stratton has been dealing with a head injury that she suffered during her most recent bout with Wendy Choo.
“Tiffany Stratton has been out of action with a head injury from her TV match with Wendy Choo.”

Finally, Meltzer revealed that Arianna Grace’s absence was due to an undisclosed surgery. Grace has since shared a post to her twitter account confirming that she’ll be going through surgery next week, although as of writing it is unclear as to the specifics of her injury.
“Arianna Grace is out of action due to an undisclosed surgery.”

As always, we wish both Stratton and Grace the best in their recoveries from injury, and look forward to seeing what the future holds for them both when they’re ready to return to the ring.
