AEW’s Willow Nightingale is reportedly set to return next month.

On last night’s episode of AEW Collision, a vignette aired showing Willow Nightingale on the road to recovery as ‘The Comeback Killer’ eyes up a comeback of her own. However, given that news of her initial shoulder injury forced her to vacate the TBS Championship on the May 20th Dynamite, many were expecting Nightingale to be out for an extended period of time. With tease of her return underway, more has emerged on when she might be back on our screens.

According to a new update from Fightful Select, it’s believed Willow Nightingale is planned to return to AEW in July.

The current plan is for Wlilow Nightingale to come back in July. We’re told there have always been big plans for her this year.”

Not only did the injury mean the 32-year-old had to leave her TBS Championship behind, it also prompted Willow to pull out of this year’s Owen Hart Tournament. However, after Toni Storm stepped away from the earlier this year, a recent report suggested Nightingale could’ve been in line for a major opportunity if she hadn’t been injured. You can read more about that here.

A new TBS Champion is set to be crowned this coming Wednesday on Dynamite. In the first Survival Of The Fittest match to take place in AEW rather than ROH, Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, and Queen Aminata will be among those attempting to capture the title on July 1 in San Diego.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Willow Nightingale’s AEW return as soon as we hear more.
