On the day of WrestleMania Night 1, Carmelo Hayes is expected to battle Bron Breakker for the NXT Title at the brand’s Stand & Deliver event. A former North American Champion, he has distinguished himself on the programme since the “2.0” rebranding in August 2021, working with partner and mouthpiece Trick Williams.
WWE might want to reunite Hurt Business with NXT superstar Carmelo Hayes. This is according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
“Speaking of Hayes, it has been batted around the idea of Hayes in the Hurt Business with MVP, Benjamin, Alexander and Lashley. That was a discussion and not definite. But there has been talk of Hayes coming to the main roster”

For several months now, WWE has been hinting that The Hurt Business will reunite. In addition to MVP recently claiming responsibility for Bobby Lashley’s kayfabe ban being lifter earlier this year, MVP has been frequently spotted speaking with Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander.
