Since Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque’s return to WWE as the company’s Head of Talent Relations, numerous previously released talents have been reached out to over a potential return, with the likes of Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis, Hit Row, Karrion Kross, and Scarlett all being reintroduced to the WWE Universe over the past few weeks.
It now appears that WWE are further ramping up their talent acquisition process, as Fightful Select are reporting that a ‘notable’ AEW talent has confirmed to management that WWE have been in touch with them over potentially joining the company.
“A source close to AEW tells Fightful Select that a notable AEW talent — who is known to be under contract — has reported to AEW management that WWE had reached out to them about coming to WWE. We’re told the talent made it clear they are happy with AEW, and felt like higher ups deserved to know. The performer had also stated to management that they didn’t have a desire to leave All Elite Wrestling.”

The report then further elaborates that it was a member of WWE’s talent relations department that contacted the AEW talent, although no direct contact was made, as the talent in question referred the call to their representation instead.
Fightful Select were able to confirm these reports with the talent themselves, although they then noted that the talent wishes to remain anonymous at this time. They then additionally stated that whilst they were able to gain confirmation of contact between WWE and the contracted AEW talent, no further details were unearthed regarding the nature of the contact between the two sides.
It was then further noted that Fightful Select’s sources close to the situation that there was no mistake this performer was already under a full-time contract, thus further indicating that the talent in question is a ‘notable’ name signed full-time to the company.
As of writing, WWE have yet to respond to Fightful’s request for a comment. As always, we’ll aim to provide any updates as soon as we hear more regarding this developing situation.
