Drew McIntyre is still to sign a new deal, but WWE reportedly believes it will happen.

Almost a year ago, we found out that Drew McIntyre’s WWE deal had entered its final 12 months, suggesting that, in March of 2024, the expiry date is almost upon us. Yet, we are still yet to hear any official confirmation when it comes to a potential contract extension for the former WWE Champion as WrestleMania 40 draws ever closer. However, the company themselves reportedly believe that Drew is likely to strike a deal to remain on their books.

Per PWInsider Elite, it’s believed that people in WWE are working under the assumption that Drew will reach an agreement on a new contract. The word from McIntyre’s camp is that, whatever decision he comes to, his family will be at the heart of his next step.

“The word we are hearing is that Drew Mcintyre has told those close to him he still has yet to lock in a new WWE deal. The belief is that everyone is working under the understanding a new deal will be struck, but the word out of his camp is that nothing has been signed and that whatever his next move will be, focusing on family will be a major piece of what his next decision will be.”

The contract status of McIntyre could potentially by indicated by the result of his World Heavyweight Championship challenge against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40, as WWE choosing to crown the Scotsman in front of a packed stadium could suggest that he has committed to being with the company for another extended run.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Drew McIntyre’s WWE future as soon as we hear more.
