Former Universal Champion Braun Strowman is the latest WWE talent to share his thoughts on CM Punk’s return to the company.

It’s no secret that CM Punk is a divisive individual, and his return to WWE after nearly ten years away has reportedly polarized the locker room. In an interview with SportsKeeda, Strowman spoke candidly about Punk’s return and his unwillingness to pass judgment on him until he meets him properly, while also teasing a match between the two in the future.

“He’s doing his job. At the end of the day, our job is to put eyes on the product and butts in seats, and, well, it looks like he’s doing it. I’ve heard mixed reviews from multiple people on what kind of person he is. I’ll find out when I meet him, and he can get in line and get these hands just like anybody else.”

Braun Strowman and CM Punk never crossed paths in WWE, as when Strowman debuted on TV as part of the Wyatt Family in 2015, Punk was retired from wrestling after an acrimonious breakup with the company. Strowman is currently out of action after undergoing neck fusion surgery in June. Prior to that, he was in a tag team with Ricochet.

We’d like to extend our continued well wishes to Braun Strowman as he recovers from his surgery, and as always, we will continue to update you as more wrestlers share their perspectives on CM Punk’s WWE return.
