Lesnar is still set to feature in the game, although players won’t be able to control ‘The Beast Incarnate’.
Earlier today, Sean Ross Sapp reported that 2K had shared the roster for the upcoming WWE 2K24 videogame with Fightful, noting that Brock Lesnar was absent from the playable roster following his involvement in the allegations facing Vince McMahon.
Insider Gaming have now provided an update on Lesnar’s involvement in the game, revealing that his files can still be found in the game despite not being playable due to it being too late for him to fully be removed.
“Multiple sources have told Insider Gaming that while it was too late to fully remove Lesnar from the game, the plan shifted to simply make him unplayable for players upon release. Despite being unplayable, his character and game files are still within WWE 2K24. That means that there will be ways for those with the ability to get him to become playable, it’ll just take some work to make it happen.”

As expected, the report notes that the biggest reason for Lesnar not being removed completely is that the latest allegations facing Vince McMahon arose late into the game’s development, with these allegations implicating Lesnar despite not being mentioned by name.
Additionally, it was noted that Lesnar may still have minor inclusions in different game modes, although the extent of this is yet to be revealed.
Insider Gaming added that they’d reached out to over a dozen contacts at 2K through various methods to comment on Lesnar’s status within the game, although each request has gone unanswered up to this point.
WWE 2K24 is set to release on March 8th on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, with those who pre-order the Deluxe or Forty Years of WrestleMania edition gaining access starting on March 5th.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of Brock Lesnar, as well as the WWE 2K24 videogame, as soon as we hear more.
