Kyle Fletcher says he avoided surgery prior to his AEW return despite being told there was a 90% chance he would need it.

AEW Double or Nothing on May 24 saw Kyle Fletcher make a surprise return following a spell on the sidelines due to a torn meniscus, with many fans anticipating that his absence would likely be longer than it ultimately was.

During a recent vlog on his YouTube channel, Kyle Fletcher revealed that despite being told there was a 90% chance he would require surgery, he was able to make his return without having to go under the knife.

“I don’t have to have surgery. Awesome news. I was given initially 90% chance of surgery. No surgery required. Just healing.”

Kyle Fletcher made his return following the bout between his fellow Don Callis Family members Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita, a match that saw Takeshita capture the AEW International Championship.

Following the bout, Kyle Fletcher initially appeared to be siding with Konosuke Takeshita before blindsiding the new champion, as The Don Callis Family officially removed ‘The Alpha’ from the faction with a brutal beatdown.

After making his return at AEW Double or Nothing, Kyle Fletcher is set to sit down with Renee Paquette alongside Don Callis during the May 27 episode of AEW Dynamite and will likely address his actions.
