Tommy Dreamer is no longer with TNA.

Earlier today, Tommy Dreamer confirmed during an emotional appearance on Busted Open Radio that he and TNA Wrestling had mutually agreed to part ways. Dreamer had been with the promotion since 2018, serving both as an on-screen performer and as a backstage producer.

Following confirmation of Dreamer’s departure, Fightful Select reports that industry sources had heard discussions regarding Road Dogg as a potential replacement within TNA Wrestling.

“Fightful immediately heard from industry sources that Road Dogg had been discussed within TNA as a potential replacement for Tommy Dreamer.”

The report also notes that some sources within TNA claimed they had been aware of Dreamer’s impending departure in recent weeks, although they expected the move to take place after the Slammiversary pay-per-view on June 28.

While Dreamer’s tenure with TNA Wrestling has come to an end, Fightful were able to confirm that Hunter Johnston, better known to fans as Delirious, will remain with the promotion.

Tommy Dreamer revealed that he had a conversation with Carlos Silva that ultimately led to his departure from the company. He added that he was incredibly emotional at the thought of no longer seeing many of the people he has worked with weekly for years and thanked TNA and the fans for all of their support over the years.

Regarding his potential replacement, Road Dogg left WWE on March 5 earlier this year and stated in April that his decision to depart the company ultimately came down to a desire to spend more time with his family.

The news of Dreamer’s departure is the latest in a growing list of exits from TNA Wrestling, with news emerging yesterday that Tessa Blanchard had her release request granted, joining both Myle Grace and Steve Maclin in doing so this month. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of Tommy Dreamer and the possibility of Road Dogg joining TNA Wrestling as soon as we hear more.
