Tony Khan Says He Loves Having Mick Foley In AEW

Mick Foley has made a positive impression since joining All Elite Wrestling.

Since his final in-ring appearance in 2012, Foley has spent much of his retirement years working with WWE in a legends role. However, he announced in December 2025 that he would allow his Legends deal with the company to expire following WWE’s links to Donald Trump’s presidency. After departing WWE in 2026, Foley signed with AEW, where he has since made occasional appearances as a PPV co-host and on-screen personality.

Appearing on the Battleground Podcast, AEW President Tony Khan praised Foley’s attitude and the positive influence he has had on the company’s atmosphere.

“He adds a lot of experience. He also brings a lot of positivity, and he’s having a great time. We’ve really enjoyed having Mick so far at AEW at Double or Nothing and at Beach Break, — Mick’s going to be a more regular presence in the show, I think. Not necessarily every single week, but I’m excited to have Mick come in more and more.”

Before his WWE career, Foley established himself as a legendary figure through his work in WCW, ECW, and IWA Japan. After signing with the then-WWF, he became a key part of the Attitude Era, winning eight tag team championships and capturing the WWE Championship three times before departing in 2008. Foley later joined TNA Wrestling, where he held both the TNA Legends Championship and the TNA World Championship.

Mick Foley’s most recent appearance for All Elite Wrestling came on the July 8 episode of AEW Dynamite: Beach Break, where he spoke with new AEW International Champion Kyle Fletcher before a backstage brawl broke out involving Andrade El Idolo, Darby Allin, and The Don Callis Family.
