Mark Davis: Jake Doyle And I Can Accomplish Anything We Want To Together

AEW’s Mark Davis feels he and Jake Doyle can accomplish anything together as a team.
Om the January 14 edition of Dynamite, Mark Davis began teaming with Jake Doyle as part of the Don Callis Family. However, almost immediately, the duo suffered unfortunate luck with injury when the former DPW World Champion sustained torn biceps. Following Doyle’s return to our screens on May 27, Davis has expressed his view that their team still has a lot of potential.
Speaking with The Wrestling Classic, Mark Davis said he and Jake Doyle can achieve anything they want to as a team.
“I think there’s an avenue to take that wherever we want to. Anything that we want to accomplish together, I think that we’d be able to do. It’s just about timing sometimes in the business? Things fall into place in ways you don’t expect them to, at times you don’t expect them to. So who knows what the future will hold? But obviously Doyle in the Don Callis Family, back healthy, looking strong, looking great, took Andrade to his limits. I’m looking forward. Hopefully we can get back in there together”

While his partner was on the sidelines, Mark Davis came into his own as a singles wrestler. On the ‘Fairway To Hell’ edition of Collision, ‘Dunkzilla’ became the AEW National Champion by defeating Jack Perry, and he’s looking to notch another defence of the title this Sunday when he takes on Andrade El Idolo at Redemption.
Still, Jake Doyle returned to our screens on May 27, and will be hoping to build momentum to rise within the ranks of both the Don Callis Family and AEW as a whole. Most recently, Doyle teamed with Hechicero and Brian Cage to earn a quick trios victory on the July 18 edition of Collision.
Elsewhere in the interview, Davis discussed the progress of his former tag team partner Kyle Fletcher, calling the International Champion a ‘fantastic wrestler’. You can read more about that here.
As always we will aim to bring you the latest news on Mark Davis and Jake Doyle as a team in AEW as soon as we hear more.
