KAIRI has attracted interest from multiple promotions after officially entering free agency.

On April 24, WWE released a wave of talent from both the main roster and NXT, including Kairi Sane. With the 90-day non-compete clauses for those released now expired, making KAIRI a free agent, speculation has naturally begun to grow regarding her next move.

According to Fightful Select, KAIRI has yet to sign with any promotion since becoming a free agent, although the former WWE Superstar is reportedly attracting interest from several companies, including potential non-contracted appearances.

“We’re told that as of now, she’s not signed anywhere, and is actively evaluating her future. There is naturally interest from a number of companies, including in non-contracted appearances.”

Beyond KAIRI’s notice period expiring, speculation also increased on social media after fans noticed that she had updated her Instagram bio to reveal that she was now represented by wrestling super agent Barry Bloom.

Naturally, the news sparked discussion that KAIRI could be heading to All Elite Wrestling, especially with Barry Bloom already representing several AEW stars, including Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Will Ospreay, among others.

However, the report also notes that KAIRI was not backstage at AEW Redemption on July 26 or at the most recent Marigold show in Japan. The latter has also been linked to her future due to her previous relationship with Rossy Ogawa through her time in STARDOM.

Prior to her WWE return in late 2023, KAIRI made a successful comeback to STARDOM and later became NJPW’s inaugural IWGP Women’s Champion, leading to a well-received title match against Mercedes Moné at NJPW Battle in the Valley.

Should KAIRI make her way to All Elite Wrestling, her credentials would likely place her near the top of the list of potential challengers for newly crowned AEW Women’s World Champion Willow Nightingale, who recently reflected on becoming the company’s first-ever female Grand Slam Champion. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on KAIRI’s future as soon as we hear more.
