Nick Jackson Says He Passed Concussion Tests At AEW Redemption
Nick Jackson has revealed he passed concussion tests at AEW Redemption.
At AEW Redemption on Sunday, July 26, Nick Jackson found himself in a frightening situation during his scheduled tag team match alongside his brother Matt against Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay. During the bout, it appeared that Jackson may have been dealing with a potential concussion, prompting concern among fans as the match continued.
In the latest episode of Being The Elite, Nick Jackson addressed the scare, revealing that while he passed multiple concussion tests backstage at AEW Redemption, doctors confirmed he had “got his bell rung.” He also explained that lingering issues from the neck injury he suffered at AEW Forbidden Door may have contributed to the dizziness he experienced.
“I went to the trainer’s room of course, obviously. I had to take multiple concussion tests and I passed, so that’s good. They said I definitely had my bell rung, but I had a lot of dizziness. The last pay-per-view… I landed right on my head in, where was that? San Jose? Landed right on my head and that was not a concussion or anything. It was considered a whiplash injury. Ever since then, though, I’ve had these weird effects where I feel kind of like foggy because of the neck. I didn’t have any vision issues or any of that, but today, it felt very similar to what I was experiencing last month. But now I feel a lot better. The doctor said that I’m probably not healing fast enough because I’m not having enough carbs, which is true. And I definitely felt dehydrated today, so I think I’m partially to blame for that.”

Following their victory, the Young Bucks came face-to-face with Cope and Christian Cage, the reigning AEW World Tag Team Champions, with it later being confirmed that the two legendary teams will clash for the titles for the first time at AEW All In.
Later in the night, Nick and Matt returned during the closing moments of AEW Redemption to try and save AEW World Champion Kenny Omega after he was attacked by the Death Riders following his successful title defence against TNT Champion Kevin Knight.
The Young Bucks and Cope & Cage are set to have a sit-down meeting moderated by Renee Paquette on the July 29 episode of AEW Dynamite, as the two teams prepare for their first-ever clash for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Wembley Stadium on August 30.
