Bayley Says Recent Saturday Night’s Main Event Match Felt Different Than Others

Bayley says her match with Lyra Valkyria at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event felt different to her others at the event.

WWE Superstar Bayley has over a decade of experience under her belt with WWE, from her time on NXT to becoming a tenured main roster star on RAW and SmackDown. Most recently, “The Role Model” was subject to a shocking betrayal at the hands of Lyra Valkyria, and, after the Irishwoman brutalised the former Women’s Champion after their match on the July 18, edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, many are questioning where the future lies for Bayley. Now, the star has reflected on her recent appearance at Madison Square Garden.

During her Saturday Night’s Main Event vlog, Bayley spoke about her previous experience of wrestling at MSG, and how her most recent trip to “The World’s Most Famous Arena” felt different.

“I’ve been doing this for so long and I’ve wrestled in the Garden multiple times. A really good amount of times, thankfully, but this one just feels different. I think the time and the stage I am in my career right now, I feel like I’m taking a further look back at everything, or seeing it from a different view and knowing my place in this business and knowing my worth in this business.”

The match between the two got bloody when Valkyria got her nose smashed by a rolling elbow by Bayley, and in the end, it was Lyra who picked up the big win with a Bulldog Choke, leaving her former partner laying with an attack onto the steel steps after the bell. As of writing, the 37-year-old is yet to reappear on TV, although she did make a return at a recent live event as rumours around her future rage on.

Despite Bayley still being under contract with the WWE, current speculation links her with a possible move to AEW once her current deal is up later this year.
