Brock Lesnar Confirms He Is Now Retired from Professional Wrestling

Brock Lesnar has revealed his retirement from wrestling.

To close SummerSlam Saturday, Oba Femi put down Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell. This was the third and final clash between “The Beast” and “The Ruler” in what was a memorable trio of matches across WrestleMania 42, Clash In Italy and Summerslam 2026. After teasing retirement following their first encounter, it now seems Lesnar may well be done with wrestling.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Brock Lesnar confirmed he is retired from professional wrestling.

“I am retired and I wanted to say a big thank you to everybody. Saturday was a very emotional day for me. When Oba Femi slammed me at WrestleMania, I was like ‘ I can’t do this again. I think I’m done”.

While this does appear to be Lesnar signalling his retirement from the ring, many fans will remember “The Beast” leaving his gloves and boots in the ring at WrestleMania 42, with some viewers remaining skeptical over whether this is truly the end of his career.

If this is it for Lesnar, there’s is no denying “The Beast Incarnate” has a Hall of Fame level career in WWE. His retirement means the star walks away with 10 world championships, combining his time with the WWE and Universal Championships respectively.

Lesnar began training to be professional wrestler in 2000, debuting on March 18, 2002, while being managed by Paul Heyman. He also became the youngest WWE Champion of all time at age 25 by defeating The Rock at Summerslam 2002. It’s worth noting the Minnesota native had a stint in New Japan between 2005-2007, winning the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

Lesnar brought the pain again rejoining WWE in 2012 with more matches against top stars such as John Cena, Randy Orton, and Roman Reigns. Not to mention ending The Undertaker’s undrafted streak at WrestleMania 30 in a stunning moment.
