WWE SummerSlam 2029 Reportedly Set To Take Place In Indianapolis

WWE’s second biggest Premium Live Event of the year is reportedly headed to Indianapolis in 2029.

This past weekend, WWE presented SummerSlam 2026. Emanating from the US Bank stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the two-night event saw many highlights such as Oba Femi’s third clash with Brock Lesnar, the respective returns of Randy Orton and Kevin Owens and a strong closing match between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Off the back of this years show, it seems WWE is already setting its sights on future SummerSlams.

According to an update from WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, it’s believed Summerslam 2029 is headed to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“According to a source with direct knowledge, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is told that SummerSlam 2029 is headed to Indianapolis.”

While it may seem odd that the company are making plans three years in advance, the report provides context by noting that, when WWE and the Indiana Corporation finalised their Premium Live Event agreement in June 2024, a future Summerslam was agreed as part of that package.

It’s worth remember that Lucas Oil Stadium was also the home of WWE Royal Rumble last year, a show which took place back on February 1, 2025. Plus, the company travelled to Indianapolis for the inaugural Wrestlepalooza.
