WWE Reportedly Working Under The Assumption The Rock Won’t Be At WrestleMania 43
WWE creative reportedly believe The Rock won’t be at WrestleMania 43.
Next year, WrestleMania 43 will emanate from Saudi Arabia. As such, many are expected WWE to go all out in terms of returning legends, and one of the most talked about names for the show is The Rock. In fact, back in January, reports emerged that the eight-time former WWE Champion would be receiving the highest offer in wrestling history to perform at 2027’s “Show Of Shows”. However, it now appears that he’s currently not planned for the event.
According to an update from WrestleVotes via Fightful Select, it’s believed WWE creative are working under the assumption that The Rock isn’t available for WrestleMania 43.

The Rock last appeared for WWE at Elimination Chamber 2025, playing a pivotal part in John Cena’s heel turn before remaining off our screens for the rest of Cena’s final year. Since his run as “The Final Boss” in 2024, fans have been clamouring for more of The Rock as an on-screen character, with matches against Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes still on the table. However, it currently appears as if “The Great One” will be off WrestleMania 43, and it remains to be seen as to whether he returns to the ring in future.
As for what may be in store for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 43, it’s widely speculated by fans that the show could be where we see Oba Femi take on “The OTC”, possibly leading to “The Ruler” potentially winning his first world championship, especially after his King Of The Ring victory earlier this year. But, with all the big names likely to be pursued to make the show as big as possible, anything could happen between now and next spring.
