Two major AEW stars reportedly suffered injuries at the most recent TV taping.

This past Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite Grand Slam featured a number of major title matches, including the AEW International Championship bout between Jon Moxley & Rey Fenix, as well as MJF’s AEW World Championship defence against Samoa Joe. Whilst the episode was largely received positively, it didn’t go off completely without a hitch, as two major stars reportedly suffered injuries during the show.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported shortly after the show’s conclusion that sources within AEW claimed that Cole was at the hospital for an injury he seemingly sustained when jumping off of the entrance ramp to the ringside area during the main event.

“AEW sources claim Adam Cole is at the hospital for an injury sustained at the end of AEW Dynamite. It appeared to happen when he jumped to the ringside area. He was seen limping after.”

Sapp later followed up on this, adding that Cole had since left the hospital and was seen on crutches.

Unfortunately, Cole wasn’t the only AEW talent reported to have sustained an injury during Dynamite Grand Slam, as PWInsider reported that Jon Moxley is believed to have suffered a concussion during his AEW International Championship match with Rey Fenix.

Moxley appeared to have sustained the injury after to dive to the outside from Fenix. The Blackpool Combat Club member was unable to kick out of Fenix’s finisher as initially planned during the bout, with Bryan Alverez of the Wrestling Observer reporting that the finish was unplanned.

“Jon Moxley was hurt in the Rey Fenix match tonight, and the finish was unplanned, but he is okay.”

-Bryan Alvarez

The now-former AEW International Champion was noted by Excalibur on commentary as having been able to leave the ring by himself during an ad break, although the extent of his injury remains to be seen.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the injury statuses of both Adam Cole and Jon Moxley as soon as we hear more, and we wish them both all the best in their recoveries.
