AEW’s London debut is coming on August 27, when the company aims to fill out Wembley Stadium. While it appeared to be a tall order, 47,000 pre-sale tickets to the UK event have already shifted before the general sale opens this Friday.
It’s fair to say that interest in AEW’s London spectacle is high and therefore many fans are wondering what the card will look like come the last weekend in August. Not only that, but the current crop of AEW talent will also be aiming for the highest spot possible when professional wrestling returns to Wembley after over twenty years and, while speaking to Monopoly Events, Adam Cole has made it clear that he’s aiming for the company’s top prize on August 27.
“One of the best things about AEW is there are so many countless possibilities of these absolutely incredible matches that could happen. In regards to the Wembley show, I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for a show in my entire life. This will certainly be the biggest show I’ve ever been involved in. When you look at all these possible matchups, I think about me against Jay White could be cool, me against Kenny Omega would be something I’d really like. At the end of the day, regardless of who the opponent is, if I could challenge for the AEW World Championship at All In, that’s all I’m focused on,”
-Adam Cole
At the moment, Cole is focused on his ongoing battle with the Jericho Appreciation Society, but, with there still being nearly four months until AEW comes to London, anything can be set up for the much-anticipated Wembley show.
