Adam Copeland Narrates MLP Northern Rising Intro Video
Tonight in Canada, another dream comes true for Adam Copeland.
Wrestling is thriving on many levels, even with all the highs and lows that have happened in key places recently. In Canada, Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling continues to grow and showcase why it deserves to be named a great promotion. Tonight, its Northern Rising event is happening, and it’s sold out. A key reason for that is the arrival of Adam Copeland, who will face Steve Maclin in Maple Leaf Gardens, where Copeland always dreamed of wrestling.
Ahead of the show itself, MLP took to social media to reveal the intro package voiced by Copeland himself.
The intro highlights a lot of the talent that’s on the card, including the numerous titles that are on the line. Alongside Copeland, fellow AEW name Andrade El Idolo is on the card, defending his National Title against Rohan Raja, while Priscilla Kelly hopes to defend the MLP Canadian Women’s Championship against Nikki Storm. Plus, viewers will MLP Canadian Champion Josh Alexander take on interim champion Stu Grayson to determine the undisputed title holder.
For Copeland, this dream venue event couldn’t have happened at a better time, as he’s been checking venues off his list of places he wants to wrestle before he retires at a rapid rate of late. The star now has experience at Arena Mexico and Wembley Stadium, and, with Maple Leaf Gardens coming tonight, one of the few places remaining is the Tokyo Dome. Whether Copeland, and perhaps Christian Cage, end up having a match there this coming January remains to be seen.
Showing the impact Maple Leaf Pro is making in the Canadian scene, the legendary Can-Am Dojo was recently branded the MLP Academy. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on MLP Northern Rising as soon as we hear more.
