It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. Dynamite is headlined by a fascinating trios match packed with so much talent. AEW World Champion Samoa Joe will team up with one of his opponents at Revolution Swerve Strickland and Strickland’s stable-mate Brian Cage. They will face off against their other opponent at Revolution Hangman Adam Page, who is teaming up with Hook and Rob Van Dam. After the events of last week, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli will tag against FTR. Finally, both Toni Storm and Deonna Purrazzo are in action against unannounced opponents. The pair are scheduled to wrestle at Revolution for the AEW Women’s title.

JON MOXLEY & CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI VS FTR:

Moxley and Castagnoli walked into the match as the heels but throughout the match it wasn’t clear who were the faces and who were the heels. The Tulsa crowd did not help this with their participation in this match, or lack thereof. At one point Harwood locked in an abdominal stretch and received help from Wheeler illegally to make the move more impactful. At one point it seemed that Castagnoli got the hot tag and later in the match, Wheeler was the hot tag.

The match took a while to get going as it wasn’t until past the fifteen minute mark where the work became more gripping, with the crowd following suit. In the closing stretch, Harwood locked in a sharpshooter on Moxley, with Castagnoli locking one in on Wheeler with less than a minute left. Both wrestlers began to slap each other to break the holds. Eventually, Moxley was set up for a shatter-machine but the time limit expired and the match ended in a draw. After the match the teams began to attack each other. The locker room has to come out and break up the four wrestlers.

ORANGE CASSIDY BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW:

Rene Paquette broke down the chaotic past few weeks for Orange Cassidy. Doctor Sampson was present to give minimal clearance to Cassidy ahead of his upcoming match with Mike Bennett. After the commercial break, replay videos played showing the hectic past week for Cassidy.

FTR BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW:

A fired up FTR made the challenge to Mox and Castagnoli for Revolution as they believe they only needed a few more seconds to get the victory. The Blackpool Combat Club members then showed up surrounded by referees as they were being held back from FTR.

ORANGE CASSIDY DEFEATS MIKE BENNETT:

Before the match even started, Cassidy ran up the ramp, pulled off an orange punch on Mike Taven, and dragged Mike Bennett into the ring for the start of the bout. Later in the match, Roderick Strong came for the distraction. Bennett took advantage and hit a low blow on Cassidy. Bennett then followed up with a pile-driver but only got the two-count. A resilient Cassidy managed to kick out of a gotch-style piledriver before he reversed a third piledriver attempt into a beach break for the victory. After the match, Strong, Taven, and Bennett came out to attack Cassidy. A babyface home-town hero Jake Hager came out for the save. Hager is set to face Strong on Rampage.

ANGELO PARKER & RUBY SOHO BACKSTAGE SEGMENT, RIC FLAIR ARRIVES TO THE BUILDING:

Angelo Parker and Ruby Soho are finally going out on their date after much anticipation. The pair link their arms as an SUV arrives in the background. Ric Flair comes out of the vehicle as the show goes to commercial break.

RIC FLAIR BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW:

Ric Flair is asked by Paquette about Sting’s upcoming last match. Flair, visibly upset, aired his grievances about not being more involved in Sting’s last run as he has been off tv for the past few weeks. Flair ended the interview by saying that he will “explore his options”. Flair then knocks on a door with the Young Bucks opening. Flair asked for a word, the Bucks let him in and closed the door.

DANIEL GARCIA IN-RING INTERVIEW:

In the ring, Tony Schiavone announces that after what happened last week, Adam Copeland is on the shelf. Daniel Garcia was then announced as Christian Cage’s opponent at Revolution. Garcia spoke about he had to restore his confidence over the last few months, and with the help of the crowd he’s been able to restore that feeling. Garcia spoke about Copeland and how he would’ve made him tap if it wasn’t for the interference last week. Cage then interrupted Garcia, he proceeded to tell Garcia that he’s not ready for a big match with Cage. Cage mentioned that Garcia didn’t have a happy childhood, he then name-dropped his parents and mentioned that Garcia’s father is dead. Cage called Garcia’s father an alcoholic, and he told Garcia that he wants to help him, and become his father. A furious Garcia threatened Christian, telling him he will put him six feet in the ground if he mentions his mother’s name again. Cage prompted Nick Wayne to run to the ring to attack Garcia. Instead Garcia locked in a dragon-tamer on Wayne. Killswitch attempted to come for the save but Matt Menard hit him with a chair to help Garcia.

HANGMAN ADAM PAGE, HOOK, ROB VAN DAM BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW:

Backstage, Adam Page was fired up speaking about the upcoming main event. Page told Hook that he needs to avenge his loss to Samoa Joe, and Rob Van Dam needs to avenge his loss to Swerve Strickland. All the while, RVD looked to be taking it all as a joke.

TONI STORM DEFEATS SYDNI WINNELL

Toni Storm made quick work of a local talent and submitted her within minutes. As she was going up the ramp, Deonna Purrazzo’s entrance music hit. The two glared at each other as Purrazzo passed Storm and entered the ring for her upcoming match.

DEONNA PURRAZZO DEFEATS MADDISON RAYNE:

This match was unfortunate, It was extremely clunky and and both wrestlers didn’t look on the same page. At one point it looked like Rayne had injured her head. Purrazzo ended up submitting Rayne for the win. Toni Storm then ran in to attack Purrazzo. She locked in a ankle lock and did not let go. Eventually, she let go but the damage was already done. Purrazzo was visibly hurt as she was clutching her ankle.

DARBY ALLIN & STING SEGMENT:

Allin showed an old picture of Sting and his sons. Sting’s son are as old in that picture as the Young Bucks’ kids are now. Family is everything and for the first time in his career, Sting has had someone mess with his family. A monotone Sting pierced the camera with a sharp stare as he began to talk about the recent passing of his father, which has him thinking about his own mortality. Sting says he knows he’s not invincible but everything he has left in him, he’s bringing to Revolution. This promo is the embodiment of why Sting is one of the best ever. We only have a little over a week left with the Icon, cherish it.

WARDLOW IN-RING PROMO:

Wardlow talked about his frustration as he used to be the next big thing who was cheered by thousands. Wardlow spoke about never receiving a World title shot despite being a self proclaimed “mega star”. Wardlow referenced some former champions that he destroyed speaking about CM Punk, MJF, and Samoa Joe. Wardlow called himself the uncrowned king of AEW as he is starving and he’s done eating scraps.

BANG BANG SCISSOR GANG BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW:

After last week’s 12-man tag on Rampage, Jay White proposed that he team up with Colten and Billy Gunn on Collision for a trios match after Billy Gunn asked to be a Collision cowboy. Bowens said that it doesn’t matter what the combination is, because the Bang Bang Scissor Gang rules the world.

WILL OSPREAY VIDEO PACKAGE; DON CALLIS FAMILY BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW

Will Ospreay is All In as a video package from last year’s show from Wembley played on screen. Ospreay was also announced to be present for Dynamite next week. After the package, the Don Callis family were backstage with Renee Paquette. Callis spoke about Ospreay and Takeshita’s upcoming match at Revolution, a win-win for the family. Callis announced that Powerhouse Hobbs will me apart of the “meat madness” match at Revolution that the audience wasn’t given any details about besides the fact that Wardlow and Hobbs will be apart of it. Finally, Callis called out Sammy Guevara and told him that he’ll see him next week.

SAMOA JOE, SWERVE STRICKLAND & BRIAN CAGE DEFEAT ROB VAN DAM, HANGMAN ADAM PAGE & HOOK:

Samoa Joe and Hook started off the match with Joe getting the advantage early on. However, Hook was able to get the world champion off his feet with a clothesline. The match made for some fun combinations as RVD meshed well with Cage as well as Strickland. However, the match picked up when Page and Strickland were able to get in there for a brief amount of time. Later on, Hook received a lot of punishment from the heel team which led up to RVD’s hot tag. RVD put on his greatest hits which included a five-star frog-splash onto Cage, which was broken up by Joe. The match turned chaotic after that but made for a fun watch. Later in the match, Page went face to face with his Revolution opponents who then double-teamed him. However, Page was able to put Strickland through the table on the outside. Joe attempted a muscle buster on Page, who was able to escape the move and tag in Hook, but tweaked his ankle in the process. In the closing stretch, Cage pushed RVD off the top turnbuckle which gave Joe the chance to lock in the Coquina clutch. RVD passed out and the AEW Champion stood tall as he secured the victory for his team.
