Since KENTA’s shocking appearance at AEW Beach Break in February of last year, fans of both AEW and NJPW have clamoured for a joint show between the two promotions.

KENTA’s arrival in AEW opened what many refer to as pro-wrestlings “Forbidden Door” between AEW & NJPW, and the likes of Yuji Nagata, Minoru Suzuki, and Jay White have all since stepped through it.

AEW and New Japan fans may be in luck, as Joel & Damon of Voices Of Wrestling’s Super J-Cast strongly hinted that the long-rumoured event between the two promotions would be happening on June 23rd this year in Chicago.

Little else is known regarding plans for the show at this time, although AEW President Tony Khan is set to make another “huge announcement” on next week’s edition of Dynamite, with the potential for the AEW/NJPW event to be revealed.
