Former Divas Champion and the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion Paige has now been a free agent for over three months, with her WWE contract expiring on July 7th of this year, although she has yet to appear for another promotion, with only a few appearances having been agreed to thus far. Saraya officially retired from in-ring competition on August 8th, 2018, following a brief return from injury in December of 2017, with neck issues being the main concern.
Saraya however has stated that she wouldn’t be opposed to a return to the ring in the near future, with the recent comeback stories from the likes of Bryan Danielson, Edge, and Christian Cage serving as inspiration, although she has reiterated numerous times that it would have to be the right situation for her.
Fightful Select are now reporting that efforts have indeed been made by All Elite Wrestling to lure Paige back into pro-wrestling, stating that the two sides have had conversations with eachother over the summer.
“Fightful Select learned this week via AEW sources that there had at least been conversations with Saraya this summer.”

No additional details were provided to Fightful in regards to the nature of these talks, although one person reportedly told Fightful that they believe WWE would also be interested in bringing her back considering the new Triple H-led regime.
Fightful noted at the end of their report that they were told that the conversations didn’t result in anything at the time, however they then also noted that anything may have changed since these talks were held, and thus Saraya’s future plans remain up in the air.
