AEW Source Reportedly Optimistic About The New Day Wrestling For The Company

The New Day appear increasingly likely to step foot inside an AEW ring.
On May 2, reports revealed that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, collectively known as The New Day, had mutually parted ways with WWE. Following their departure, Fightful Select reported that there was a strong push among talent within All Elite Wrestling to bring the duo into the promotion, and we now have an update on that possibility.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, one source within All Elite Wrestling was said to be optimistic about the possibility of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods wrestling for the company at least once.
“WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reached out to a source in AEW, who was upbeat at the idea the duo would wrestle at least wrestle a match. A number of AEW talent also have expressed interest in working with New Day, who will need to go by a new name.”

Regarding potential new ring names for the now former WWE Superstars, WrestleVotes went on to note that Kofi Kingston will reportedly be able to continue using the Kofi name, whilst Xavier Woods is expected to once again perform under the name Austin Creed.
