Jungle Boy is the latest name to be reportedly hurt, adding to AEW’s already long list of injuries.
Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus just recently lost their AEW tag team titles in a great ladder match vs the Young Bucks on a recent episode of AEW Dynamite.
After the loss is when AEW finally decided to flick the switch and have Christian Cage turn heel on Jungle Boy, attacking him from behind after the match and also hitting him with a con-chair-to, leaving him in a pile in the middle of the ring.
On the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, Christian Cage cut an in-ring promo attempting to justify his actions and to really drive home the turn on Jungle Boy. All this is of course to help set up the eventual feud and match between Christian & Jungle Boy.
But now it appears there will be a delay in this storyline as Jungle Boy has reportedly legitimately picked up an injury, although there isnt many more details than that.
Dave Meltzer in his Friday News Update, reported the news, writing:
“Add Jungle Boy to the lengthy injury list for AEW.”

Hopefully the injury is nothing long term or a serious issue and Jungle Boy is back before too long as this feud with Christian Cage could easily be the biggest thing to happen in his career so far.

In an update on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer states Jungle Boy’s injury is his shoulder:
“It’s a shoulder injury from… I don’t know 100% from the ladder match, but it would make sense. But I know it’s a shoulder injury”
