Ortiz is out injured.

It’s been over two months since Ortiz has stepped into an AEW ring. Teaming with Eddie Kingston, he featured on the January 20 edition of Collision in a losing effort against the Blackpool Combat Club, and the man himself has now offered an update on his condition amid his AEW absence.

Speaking on Isiah Kassidy’s vlog, Ortiz revealed his pectoral injury and detailed that he was set for surgery two weeks after the vlog was filmed. From there, he noted that his recovery time was estimated at around four months.

“I’m injured. I’m injured. I’m about to get surgery in two weeks. It was just from a clothesline. I tore a pec. I tore my pec from a clothesline. It’s because I’m too jacked. I’m so jacked my tendons couldn’t keep up. Two weeks and four months recovery time, and I’ll be back,”

Since the split from his former tag team partner Mike Santana, the 32-year-old has wrestled for a variety of promotions such as REVOLVER and Mystery Wrestling, as well as making sporadic AEW appearances. We wish Ortiz a healthy recovery from his pectoral surgery and hope to see him back in action soon.
