Since Triple H returned to WWE as both the Head of Talent Relations and Head of Creative, the company have moved to re-sign a number of previously released stars, with Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross and Scarlett, Hit Row, Dexter Lumis, and Johnny Gargano all having made their returns over the past few weeks. Another name recently reported by Fightful Select as being considered by WWE was former Universal Champion Braun Strowman, although at the time of the report, Fightful Select had yet to hear how far ahead these discussions were.

PWInsider have now provided an update on WWE’s pursuit of Strowman, noting that he’s now back with the company, and that he’s expected to appear as soon as this Monday’s Raw in Kansas City.

“Former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman is returning to World Wrestling Entertainment, PWInsider.com has learned. Multiple WWE sources confirmed this morning Strowman will be at this Monday’s Raw in Kansas City.”

Strowman was released by WWE on June 2nd of last year alongside Lana, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Ruby Riott, and Santana Garrett. Since his release, Strowman has taken part in just 8 matches, with half of which coming in the EC3-created Control Your Narrative promotion, which is scheduled to undergo its first live tour later this year.

Strowman was undoubtably one of the most shocking releases of the pandemic era of WWE, having been involved in the world title picture just a few weeks prior. We’re certainly looking forward to seeing where Strowman fits into things under Triple H’s creative direction.
