Brie Bella Reveals She Isn’t Getting Surgery For Broken Scapula

Brie Bella says she’s set to miss months of action.
At SummerSlam this past weekend, Fatal Influence defeated The Bella Twins and Paige. However, during the match, Brie unfortunately suffered a broken scapula while on the receiving end of a cannonball into the steel steps. With Triple H saying post-show that the injury “seemed pretty bad”, Brie has now talked more about the damage and how long she’s expecting to be out.
Speaking on the Nikki & Brie Show, Brie Bella revealed she isn’t set for surgery to fix her broken scapula, although she’s looking at three to six months on the sidelines.
“He [the orthopedic surgeon] was like, ‘You know, it’s really hard to break your scapula. No one does surgery on scapulas. If you really want it, there is one doctor that can do it, but honestly, it’s like breaking your ribs in a way. You just wait until they slowly heal.’ And so that’s what I have to do. I know I have to get x-rays every two weeks to make sure I am healing. I don’t start PT for another two weeks, so they really want me to be bedridden. From there, I’m out for three to six months. So it all depends how my scapula heals.”

After the loss, the Bellas unleashed a post-match attack on Paige, although Brie’s lack of involvement was incredibly noticeable, as she only got a couple of kicks in while Nikki led the assault. As such, the company could opt to proceed with a single feud between Nikki and Paige while the injured star recovers.
While discussing the injury on her vlog, Brie noted that the match almost got called off due to the damage she’d sustained. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Brie Bella’s injury as soon as we hear more, and we wish her all the best in her recovery.
