Bron Breakker has clarified that he does not share the same controversial views as his father.

NXT Superstar Bron Breakker comes from a lineage of great wrestlers, including his father Rick Steiner. However, the 62-year-old former wrestler was embroiled in controversy when it came out over WrestleMania weekend that he had made transphobic comments towards Gisele Shaw, who came out as a transgender woman last June.

Despite Steiner not yet publicly addressing his comments, the question was posed to Breakker by Phil Strum of Under The Ring as to whether he was of similar mind to his father, which he quickly dismissed.

“Yeah, you know, I appreciate the question. I can’t speak for my father, but that’s not a reflection of me and who I am and what I’m about.”

Fans will be relieved to hear that Bron disagrees with his father’s controversial stance, with the young star looking to steer clear of trouble as his promising career progresses.

As for what’s next for Breakker, the 25-year-old is set to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship this Tuesday on NXT.
