Further confirmation of the upcoming AEW Collision reveal, as well as more information on CM Punk’s impending return, have been revealed.
The May 10th edition of Dynamite saw AEW President Tony Khan reveal that he’s set to make an announcement next week that will be one of the most important in company history. Per multiple reports, the announcement in question is expected to be the reveal of AEW’s new Saturday show, Collision, a show that is reportedly set to see a returning CM Punk featured prominently.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now provided further confirmation that Khan’s announcement next week at the WBD upfronts will be the reveal of AEW Collision, which will coincide with a new deal being agreed between AEW and the network. Additionally, the show that will see CM Punk’s long-awaited return is also set to be announced, with the show being advertised as “The Second Coming.”
“WBD will have its upfronts for advertisers that day at the Hulu Theater adjacent to Madison Square Garden which is expected to include the announcement of the new Collision show on Saturday night. With that show will come a new deal with WBD, the announcement of the 6/17 debut date, believed to be at the United Center in Chicago, and the return of C.M. Punk on a show called “The Second Coming.””

Prior to Tony Khan previewing his announcement for next week, this past Wednesday’s Dynamite saw the shocking return of both Miro and Thunder Rosa, with the pair both stepping into Khan’s office, seemingly hinting towards their involvement in AEW Collision.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates regarding the impeding AEW Collision announcement, as well as Warner Bros. Discovery renewing their deal with AEW, as soon as we hear more.
