CM Punk & Jon Moxley are reportedly still planned to face each other in the Main Event of AEW All Out.

There is now even more uncertainty over what the AEW World Championship match at All Out will be following the conclusion of last night’s unification bout on AEW Dynamite between CM Punk and Jon Moxley which ended in under 3 minutes.

The All Out main event has been a topic of confusion in the wrestling world ever since the Jon Moxley vs CM Punk match was brought forward to the August 24 edition of Dynamite. Fans concluded that there must be a reason for the move. Yet, as the match took place, Jon Moxley dominated, after CM Punk appeared to sell his foot after landing a kick, hit his finishing move twice and finished the match in convincing fashion.

Moxley left the arena as the unified champion but many are wondering what the plans are for him come September 5. According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, the scheduled title match for All Out is still the plan.

“It is Punk and Moxley. I don’t know if they’re gonna add stips or whatever, but that is the main event.”

-Dave Meltzer

It will be interesting to see how they make sense of a potential rematch, with Punk losing to Moxley in just under three minutes. Meltzer mentioned a stipulation but all still remains to be seen in the days remaining before the big Chicago show.
