CM Punk, CM Punk, CM Punk.

On the May 31 edition of AEW Dynamite, CEO Tony Khan announced that CM Punk would be featured on the debut episode of AEW Collision. Collision is premiering on June 17 from the United Center in Chicago, Punk’s hometown and the site of his AEW debut nearly two years prior.

Punk’s return will not be without controversy, as opinions on him and his role in the company are divided following the now-infamous press conference and subsequent brawl that followed All Out 2022. It should also be acknowledged that when Khan made the announcement, Punk’s name received a loud but clearly split reaction. Even with the controversy, his return will still be one of the biggest wrestling stories of 2023.
