AEW All Out 2022 will be remembered for the explosive post-show media scrum in which CM Punk stole the headlines by berating the company and its EVPs. But, something that’s easily forgotten is the in-ring action that took place that night and the fact that Punk suffered torn triceps during the main event.

We haven’t seen Punk since the infamous All Out rant, but, even without the confrontation with The Elite, his injury would’ve still forced him to step away from the ring. It may be months before he’s medically cleared to return but Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Punk’s rehab is ‘going well’ and fans may be hoping that he is ahead of schedule in terms of when he’s going to be cleared.

“C.M. Punk’s rehab of his torn triceps is said to be going really well.”

– Dave Meltzer

It remains unclear where Punk’s future lies following his injury. After making his return in 2021, there are hopes that Punk has caught the bug for wrestling again but he other has other projects which he could turn his attention to if he decides to step away from the squared circle.
