CMLL Tops 1 Million Tickets Sold At Arena México In 2026

CMLL has set a record that tops the previous one set by itself.
In the midst of the ongoing battle between AEW and WWE, especially over the last few weeks, it’s easy to forget sometimes to forget about the other promotions doing well around the world. You could even argue that in terms of fanbase numbers and satisfaction, no company is thriving quite as much as CMLL, especially looking at their events and sales. On that note, the Mexican promotion have now achieved a huge milestone.
As noted by Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, CMLL’s attendance at Arena Mexico has topped 1 million tickets sold.
“The company topped the 1,000,000 mark for paid tickets at Arena Mexico on 9/27. This would be only the second time a wrestling company has ever done this in history, the first being CMLL at Arena Mexico last year. However, they broke the mark 11 weeks earlier this year.”

Particularly when you consider that they’re doing the same building repeatedly over the course of a year, CMLL’s accomplishment stands out as a significant success. Earlier this year, they set the record for single-venue sellouts via Arena Mexico, and that record continues to grow as their events go on. You can read more about that here.
It also doesn’t hurt that CMLL partners with multiple other promotions, ensuring that the talent they have is from a wide pool, as wrestlers from AEW, STARDOM, New Japan, and more come in to have special matches, much to the enjoyment of fans.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on CMLL as soon as we hear more.
