Eddie Kingston Pays Tribute to Andy “The Butcher” Williams

AEW’s Eddie Kingston has a touching message for the dearly missed Williams
Following a match at Saturday night’s Enjoy Wrestling card, The Butcher collapsed as a result of a medical emergency. Medical assistance was reached and the show was called off, though Andy “The Butcher” Williams sadly passed away that night after being rushed to hospital. The wrestling world has shown an outpouring of love to a man who was clearly loved and respected by his perts. One of the most recent goodbyes has come from fellow AEW star Eddie Kingston.
Taking to social media, Kingston put out a heartfelt message in honour of his friend:
“All I want to say is everyone that knew Andy our world got a little darker a little less joyful. Andy was a light of joy. There are only a handful of people that make me smile and laugh whenever I see them Andy was #1. I know my days are now filled with less laughter. I love you Andy and will miss you.
-Eddie Kingston
They all hurt but this one hurts just a little different. I just want more time with you Andy. One day I hope to see you again.”
Eddie Kingston teamed with The Butcher and The Blade on three episodes of AEW Dynamite in 2020, with both acts joining the company towards the start of AEW’s existence. Andy Williams was not only known for his wrestling as “The Butcher”, but also for his music. Williams was the rhythm guitarist for Every Time I Die from the band’s inception to their 2022 split, as well as the band Atomic Rule.
Everyone at WrestlePurists extends their deepest condolences to Williams’ family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
