Few People Reportedly Knew Brock Lesnar Would Retire At WrestleMania 42

Brock Lesnar’s WWE retirement came as a surprise to many.
Night Two of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas kicked off with former NXT Champion Oba Femi scoring a massive victory over Brock Lesnar. After the bout, Lesnar left both his gloves and his boots in the ring and thanked the crowd, thus leading many to believe that we’ve now seen the last of ‘The Beast’ inside the squared circle.
According to BodySlam, few were aware that Brock Lesnar would seemingly retire at WrestleMania 42, with many anticipating that he would instead bring his career to an end at SummerSlam in his hometown of Minneapolis in August.

The report aligns with information provided by Fightful Select in the immediate aftermath of the apparent retirement, who also noted that many within WWE expected Brock Lesnar to retire at SummerSlam.
SummerSlam: Minneapolis is set to take place at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis across both August 1 and 2, marking WWE’s first stadium event held in Minneapolis.
