Former NJPW IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, ‘The Switchblade’ Jay White is currently wrestling’s hottest free agent and has reportedly been talking to both AEW & WWE
After defeat in a ‘loser leaves Japan’ match to Hikuleo, followed by a ‘loser leaves NJPW’ match against Eddie Kingston, It’s still unclear what the future holds for White but many people are linking the star to both WWE and AEW.
White is an attractive prospect for both of America’s two top promotions and interest is strong but, based on a new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the 30-year old is yet to put pen to paper for either company and remains unsure over his next move. In fact, the Observer states that White is ‘50/50’ in regards to the decision.
“Regarding Jay White, we are told that White has been talking to WWE but has not signed. He is also talking to AEW. From someone familiar with the situation they described it as 50/50 which side he would go with.”-WON.
Jay White is a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, a Triple Crown Champion & the first ever NJPW Grand Slam Champion so many fans will be intrigued to see where he lands next and what gold he can pick up.
